Followers

"Followers" is reported by Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and refers to the total number of people who follow your show on each platform.

Follower counts indicate audiences opting in. Those audiences are notified of new episodes of your show, and your show appears in the "Library" tabs of their podcasts apps.

Followers Gained & Lost

Followers Gained & Lost displays follower behavior at a daily, weekly, or monthly resolution.

  • Apple Podcasts reports the number of new followers ("Followers Gained") as well as the number of people who hit unfollow ("Followers Lost").
  • Spotify reports the net change in the total number of followers (new followers minus people who unfollowed).

Note that, due to limitations in how the data is displayed, the chart won't show net negative followers for Spotify.
