Downloads

Downloads are a measure of podcast delivery. They measure how many times audio files were requested by listeners or viewers' devices and delivered by a hosting provider. They do not indicate if that file was actually played back.

Downloads are becoming increasingly irrelevant and unreliable. They are disconnected from actual podcast consumption, and are subject to inflation and manipulation. We encourage you to look at your download numbers in the context of the other metrics displayed by the Bumper Dashboard to get the most accurate picture of your podcast's performance.
